dc.description.abstract | Zone Charts are efficient tools for assessing and achieving process stability for a single variable. However, if there are more variables to be analyzed simultaneously, there is no counterpart of the Zone Chart. This project presents the V-chart as an alternative to the currently used zone-charts and introduces a new type of Zone Chart sensitive to multivariate trends, called a W 2-chart. Both charts are designed to be used in any manufacturing setting in which successive independent samples are taken from a normal distribution. | en_US |
