This is a collection of poems divided into four distinct sections that address the complexities of relationships, religion, self, family, and the American educational microcosm, as well as consider the impact and significance of human, animal, and celestial bodies. Recurring elements that appear within and between these sections include the attempts to reconcile hope with devastation and societal progress with systematic oppression. Mostly through an outwardly reflective voice, the works that appear in this collection provide a space of rumination for the intricate nature of humanity. These wide-ranging poems offer an exploration into the juxtaposing perspectives of modern age through lyrical truth and beauty.
